Wait! Don’t start yet! Put some –appropriate- music on first!
What protective masks and nylon shoe bags are doing in a fashion show? I hadn’t the slightest idea, when I was entering the Belgian Embassy in Paris. For one thing I was sure. I like the weirdos of this fashion world, who do not let me feel bored!
And I do not mean that the models were wearing masks. This would not be so surprising after all (A fashionable God knows what my eyes have seen!) I just went to watch the défilé of A.F Vandevorst and at the entrance they gave me a protective face mask and hospital bags for my shoes. Now we are talking. Dear Vandevorst, you have my undivided attention. Then I joined chaotic halls, covered with nylon (like the kill rooms of Dexter), where the Belgian artist Joris Van de Moortel, while the live band sang the «White Light White Heat» of Velvet Underground, sprinkled white spray the black dressed models’ feet with an industrial spray gun.
