Our initial plan was to visit Folegandros in June and Astypalea in July. But sometimes when a man makes plans, God (well… almost) makes them better! The final plan included five destinations: Folegandros, Milos, Serifos, Paros, and Astypalea.

The first (and longest) stop of our island-hopping holiday on the Greek islands this summer, which painted our summer dreams with brilliant blue, was Folegandros. An island, personified by Greek Goddess Artemis.

After Folegandros, our island-hopping journey led us to the enchanting world of Milos, an island that does not look like any other in the Cyclades.

Amidst the bavarian Alpine mountains, surrounded by tall trees dressed in the discreet white veil of snow, a majestic castle stands on the hill and looks like it has sprung from the pages of a Disney fairy tale.

One day I took the plane and three trains to get to South Tyrol, north of Italy and the San Luis retreat Hotel & Lodges. Forty-two tree houses around a lake, all surrounded by forty hectares of forest.
